COURSES, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

- In order to facilitate the communication between military units and the multicultural communities where they are located, we organized the program "Open Windows" in the towns of Miercurea-Ciuc, Cluj-Napoca and Tîrgu-Mures. We conducted these activities together with the European Center for Ethnic Issues and Social Communication Studies and with the ,,Demostene Group".

- We are organizing a course on "History of European Diplomacy" taught by Professor Dan Amadeo Lazarescu, senator, member of the Commission for Foreign Policy. The course is attended by young diplomats, politicians, military and students.

- We organized a courses on "Romania and its neighbors", taught by Professor Florin Constantinescu, and attended by politicians, diplomats, historians, military and students.

- We are annualy organizing a course on "European geopolitics";

- In the autumn 1998, we have launched the "REPROMIL" Program concerning the reconversion of the military personal which are to be discharged following the cut-backs in military strength.

- In 26 May 1998 we launched the new program "NATO – the 50th ANNIVERSARY"

• February 1999, Bucharest – the 26^th SCAO Conference on NATO’s 50 th Anniversary.

- 1999-2000 - Research project on South Eastern Europe security with the University of Aberdeen, UK
